Since 2015, the Glòria Soler Foundation has contributed to various Global Health projects, supporting innovate proposals for medical care, research and children’s health.
Due to the emergency situation generated in relation to the global pandemic, the Glòria Soler Foundation has decided to step forward and to focus mainly our work this year on accelerating knowledge about the new SARS-CoV-2 virus and to improve the assistance of the most vulnerable for this global pandemic.
Spain has been one of the countries most affected with COVID-19, with devastating effects on thousands of lost human lives, but its healthcare system, especially professionals, have shown an exemplary response.
The Glòria Soler Foundation, following our founder’s vision, will unite the world of Art with social philanthropy and will dedicate the entirety of proceeds of a work by Antoni Tàpies, Ocre amb 5 entellats, to projects related to COVID-19 response or post-Covid assistance. The auction will take place on July 10, at the first online auction of works of the 20th century, organized by Christie’s.
Josep Suñol Soler showed that art and collecting are complementary with the support for social causes.
Among the selected projects (conditioned to the sale of the work) are:
After the auction, detailed information about projects will be available on the web.
