Torrrents d’Art and Parc Sanitari de Sant Joan de Déu delve into culture and art as assets for health and happiness. From 5 to 18 May, the programme “Tastets d’art” will also be held, with the participation of the Fundació Suñol and the Fundació Glòria Soler through the educational activity “Mental State” based on the work of the artist Zush from the Suñol Soler Collection.
The aim of the conference is to highlight the value of art in improving people’s quality of life, fostering communication and alleviating pain. That is why it is so important to analyse the impact of culture on social inclusion, especially in the fight against stigma and unwanted loneliness, and to highlight the existing challenges to promote real and effective art programmes in the health system in Catalonia.
In addition, the conference will feature the testimony of users and professionals, who will explain in first person how art and culture have had an impact on their emotional well-being, and with the participation of people diagnosed with mental health problems.
