The Fundació Glòria Soler renews its collaboration agreement with the Josep Carreras Foundation

  • Global Health
  • The Josep Carreras Foundation broadcasts a monthly series of video podcasts entitled Imparables por un tubo with the aim of giving a voice and tools to the hematological cancer patient and his family and environment.

This platform offers rigorous and useful information on the different cases that a haematological patient experiences during the course of their disease and the social impact that a diagnosis has both on the patient himself and on his immediate environment.

To launch this project, the Josep Carreras Foundation produced a special chapter with Josep Carreras, president of the foundation that bears his name. The interview, conducted by Alexandra Carpentier, head of the Foundation’s Patient Experience Program, took place at the headquarters shared by the Fundació Suñol and the Fundació Glòria Soler.

One of the last episodes of the Imparables por un tubo podcast featured a very special guest, comedian Dani Rovira, who a few days after the general confinement by Covid-19 in 2020 was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma: a blood cancer.

In Imparables por un tubo, he tells his experience, how he lived through the disease process in full confinement and how it transformed his vision of life.

The last episode focused on telling what HLA is and why it is so important in donor transplants (allogeneic) with Dr. Juliana Villa, Director of the Bone Marrow Donor Registry (REDMO) of the Josep Carreras Foundation.

All the episodes can be seen and followed both on the Josep Carreras Foundation Youtube Channel and on the main audio platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcast, IVOOX and Google Podcast.
