The Glòria Soler Foundation took part in the event organised by ASTE BCN at the Teatre Akademia in Barcelona on 29 April, where the audience was given a glimpse of projects in which ASTE BCN volunteers run activities and workshops for elderly people living in care homes.
David Martrat, Head of Communications and Projects at the Fundació Suñol, led a live interactive session based on Antoni Tàpies work Les doigts (1976), which is held in the Suñol Soler Collection. During the presentation, participants explored with the elderly how art presents themes that endure over time, offering new ways of observing the world around us.
ASTE BCN is a non-profit association formed by a group of people who share an interest in the elderly and aim to create intergenerational synergies. Together they work to improve the present for the elderly and the future for young people.
The Glòria Soler Foundation collaborates with ASTE BCN by bringing the art of the Suñol Soler Collection to care homes, organising activities that foster intergenerational relationships and offer a high-quality cultural experience.
